I know I sound like a broken record, but this month has been a whirlwind of ups and downs; when some days seem impossible, I am constantly reminded of all the good.
This morning the boys and I were woken up by cleaners. Our friend had paid for extra cleanings so I wouldn’t have to worry about keeping the house maintained.
After we got ready, Logan asked if we could go to Perkins — so we went. I recognized a couple familiar faces but could not pin-point who exactly they were. We sat down, stayed in our own little bubble, and enjoyed our breakfast. When I asked for our bill, our server came to us and said someone had paid for our meal.
I don’t know if it was someone who knows us and knows and what is going on or if it was a random act of kindness. Whatever it was, I am extremely thankful.
I haven’t thanked everyone personally, rest assured I have noticed every gesture and support for our family. It gets me through each day — that, and knowing Matt is alive and working his hardest to get to whatever the new normal is.
